Mai Khao Beach

Mai Khao Beach is one of four beaches in Sirinath National Park and with 9 kilometers the longest beach on Phuket. Despite its natural beauty and huge potential, it is still quite neglected by tourism and therefore boring for those who seek excitement. Thanks to the national park restrictions there are only a few solitary resorts and projects so far.

As a consequence, turtles still have a chance to put their eggs in the sand and humans who fancy privacy and loneliness have a huge beach to enjoy, but with the usual drawback that natural beaches also tend to be spoilt with debris from the sea. The southern end of Mai Khao Beach also suffers from the noise of the airport which is directly behind the beach.
