View to the northern end of Nakalay Beach

Nakalay Beach is the ”private” beach of Thavorn Beach Village Hotel, but access is not completely blocked. At least at the southern end there is a chance to walk down a path from the road, but it is not really worth the effort.

The grey sand is mixed with a lot of shingle and – that is the real drawback - the seabed is very rocky, so swimming is limited to high tide. But at least the hotel guests can enjoy a very lonely beach. Looking south the scenery is dominated by a long pier which seems to be quite run-down already. This structure contributes to the impression that Nakalay Beach has already seen better days in the past.
