Nakalay Beach is the ”private” beach of Thavorn Beach Village Hotel, but access is not completely blocked. At least at the southern end there is a chance to walk down a path from the road, but it is not really worth the effort.
The grey sand is mixed with a lot of shingle and – that is the real drawback - the seabed is very rocky, so swimming is limited to high tide. But at least the hotel guests can enjoy a very lonely beach. Looking south the scenery is dominated by a long pier which seems to be quite run-down already. This structure contributes to the impression that Nakalay Beach has already seen better days in the past. |
