Sirey Island is a small island of 20 square kilometers, located east of Phuket Town and connected with Phuket by a short bridge over a channel with mangrove forest. The island’s main tourist attraction is a sea gypsy village in the south of the island. Unfortunately this village lost authenticity in recent years with lots of stalls selling souvenirs for tourists.
The beach on our pictures is next to this sea gypsy village. We didn’t find a formal name, so we call it Sirey Beach. There is a simple restaurant to get a snack, if you pass here on your island tour, but the beach is not good and clean enough to come here for the beach itself. |
